Community violence prevention education reaches individuals through:
  • Multi-media Information - Learn more about family violence, woman abuse and Family Transition Place’s programs and services in the “Journey of Hope” Newsletter, our website www.familytransitionplace.ca, brochures, as well as articles in the local newspapers.

  • Partnerships – Family Transition Place works with other community agencies to organize and deliver prevention programs.
  • Research Findings – Comprehensive, up to date information including statistics, studies, trends and initiatives related to woman abuse, family violence, sexual assault, youth violence and healthy relationship are available to students, individuals and community groups wanting to learn more.

  • Special Initiatives – In response to community need and public concerns, Family Transition Place provides leadership in targeted education and awareness campaigns.

  • Presentations & Workshops – Knowledgeable staff are available as trainers, keynote speakers and workshop facilitators to share information and violence prevention strategies (See Topics) with groups, businesses and other organizations.
