  • Emergency Shelter - Safe, secure shelter for women and their children who are experiencing abuse or housing issues.
  • Emergency Transportation – Assistance to help you escape a dangerous situation.
  • Safety Planning – Practical steps to help keep you and your children safe.

  • 24 Hour Crisis/Info Line - Non-judgmental and supportive counsellors available with information and a listening ear, day or night. 519-941-4357 or 1-800-265-9178
  • Individual & Group Counselling – Helps you gain an understanding of your current situation; helps you problem solve to make positive changes in your life.
  • Transitional Support – Support given to help make the transition to independent, violence free living. Focus is on identifying and achieving practical goals such as housing, job training, educational upgrading, budgeting as well as building self esteem, confidence, and courage to begin again.
  • Second Stage Housing – Temporary accommodation in the community (up to six months) while you prepare for independence.
  • Legal Support – Information, support and referrals to help you navigate the family and criminal legal systems. (We are not lawyers or mediators.)
  • Workshops for Women - Discover your strengths, learn new skills and regain control of your life.
  • Counselling for Sexual Abuse/Assault Survivors - Help whether you were assaulted recently or in the past; help if you were sexually abused as a child.
  • Children’s Services – Workshops and counselling for children who have witnessed woman abuse
  • Men's Services – Support and referrals for men who are/were sexually assaulted or involved in family violence.

Violence Prevention Services

  • Youth Education Program (YEP)–
  • Inter-active school-based and community presentations covering a variety of topics including bullying, gender stereotyping, healthy dating, and building healthy relationships.
    Violence prevention training for teachers, coaches and others involved with children.

  • Community Initiatives for Prevention –
    Targeted projects and presentations to raise awareness, teach prevention skills, and involve individuals, groups, businesses and organizations in ending family violence.
