Living with abuse or the memories of abuse can hinder you, your children or family from living a happy, fulfilling life. Individual and group counselling is available to women 16 years of age and older who have experienced any form of abuse. Sexual assault counselling is available for women.

Counselling appointments are available in Bolton, Orangeville and Shelburne. Some evening appointments are available. Call 519 942-4122 or 905 584-4357 to book an appointment.

Individual Counselling

Counsellors support you by:
  • being non-judgmental.
  • helping you express suppressed emotions.
  • exploring positive ways for overcoming any trauma you’ve experienced.
  • helping you take the steps you need in order to take control of your life.
  • providing information about other community resources.
Counselling appointments are:
  • available in Orangeville, Shelburne and Bolton.
  • 1 hr long, usually up to 12 sessions.
  • free.
  • supported by childcare on a limited basis.
Group counselling & workshops will:
  • help you realize you’re not alone; others share the same anxieties and difficulties.
  • provide you with a sense of belonging and support.
  • help you learn from the experience and growth of others.
  • provide education and information to help you grow and improve the quality of your relationships.
  • cover topics including healthy relationships; childhood sexual abuse; separation, divorce & family law; healthy dating; surviving abuse; creative self-discovery; building self-esteem; and others.
