Legal Support is available to women throughout Caledon and Dufferin. Appointments are now available in Bolton as well as Orangeville. Other arrangements can also be made. Call 905-584-4357 or 519-942-4122 to book an appointment.

Legal Support Services can help if you:
  • are a victim of abuse or criminal harassment.
  • are 16 years of age or older.
  • are confused or frightened by the legal system.
  • need information about available resources.
  • need support to deal with family or criminal court, police, lawyers, Legal Aid.
  • need support attending court or a lawyer's appointment.
We can provide:
  • legal resource information.
  • appropriate community referrals for legal, housing, counselling, parenting, educational upgrading, job training, health and wellness services.
  • advocacy with other service providers.
  • accompaniment and support for meetings with lawyers, police, Crown Attorney.
  • information about the family and criminal court process and about Legal Aid.
  • court preparation, tour and accompaniment.
  • information and assistance with legal documents (victim impact statement, financial statements, etc.).
  • support for friends and family of assault victims.
  • community education (speakers and resources on many aspects of the legal process).

  • Lawyers - we do not give legal advice.
  • Mediators - we do not provide mediation services.
